Notes
Fiddles is often an observer to events, taking meticulous notes on what he sees, feels and so on throughout his journeys. When visiting most venues or spaces, he'll take a laidback approach usually after buying something for himself (usually a refreshment he might like). Feel free to walk up or send a tell!
As of lately, his type of venue that he likes to go to are taverns, eateries, lounges, or heavy/immersive RP locales. While he used to attend clubbing/gamble venues, he won't be opposed to visiting them... just doesn't prioritize them on his go-to's if you know what I mean.
It is rare to see Fiddles in something not green. There are some exceptions, in which are usually clothes he wears as part of "a uniform" in relation to a job.
Can sometimes be perceived as childish, naive or foolish by others. He has a downright hedonistic side of sorts that caves into whatever is pleasurable or easy to make him happy. Despite this, he genuinely cares for his friends and becomes concerned should they undergo suffering or hardship in some way.
The only other member to House Aelix, while unrelated and alive is his butler-retainer Hansworth. Loyal and always caring for his younger master's safety and wellbeing, he is the only father figure he's had in his life. But as with the effects of the Calamity, Hansworth can hardly remember what happened to the remaining (presumably deceased) members of House Aelix.
In Shadowbringers,
Fiddles became an ally to the Fae folk of Il Mheg after numerous accounts of him lending aid (through the completion of such sidequests). He self-proclaims himself to be 'as if one of them' in some capacity. To a degree, he is right in some respect. Doing such deeds alongside the Pixies has done a number on his sanity and personality, making him oversee their mischief to embrace the fun and whimsical aesthetics of their nature. It is baffling that he survives their antics without suffering drastic alterations... like becoming a leafman. Fiddles will not mention the events of Endwalker due to a degree of immense trauma, save for some occurrences in his visits to Radz-at-Han, Garlemald and Old Sharlayan.
Currently, for Dawntrail he has visited much of Tural to know of its cultures and cuisine and people...
But be advised he will not divulge any aspect of any point beyond the discovery of Solution Nine in-character.
Origins
Prior to that of the Calamity; a Gridanian Hyur woman and man had a child on the 15th Sun on the 3rd Umbral Moon. The mother was a strong and formidable Conjurer, and the father a rather conservative merchant frequenting the Rosewood Stalls. The father perished upon a venture into the Twelveswood, and little else is known about him. The mother wed once again to an Ishgardian Elezen man, whom the mother wed for his riches; and the child was left to his own devices, often a mere babe in a cradle or in wrapping. Never having met the latter father, never remembering the former either.Calamity came.And all came swift in an instant; and the statuses of the now parental figures of the Hyur child became unknown and many of what this child of light and life knew would be gone. Fiddles Aelix spent prior to his life as an Adventurer seeking friendship and to make a living for himself raised by vagabonds themselves. He had also found himself lost to that of the Twelveswood and had many close encounters with that of Gridania, the Ixals and the mischief of the Sylphs. Furthermore, as a common civilian he was fairly without notice by any Imperials during the occupation of Gyr Abania (the adjacent territory to that of Gridania) and the continued presence of Baelsar's Wall.Fond of the color green as the woodlands themselves, so is his body adorned appropriately as such. The name Fiddles in alignment to his playful nature, and the gaiety of a fiddle playing in upbeat unison to comfort and amuse all nearby; and Aelix in part of his Ishgardian stepfather's roots. With partial reference to being like to "a Elixir", curative in a sense and magical thereof, with his late mother known to have been a healer or chirurgeon of sorts. The original last name being lost due to the Calamity, as well as many other motes of information to date.Hydaelyn would later call out to the curious child of dancing winds on the boughs, for it is then his story would begin.

| The Faerie Prince | Ongoing, Persistent | Fiddles is enchanted by the Fae, and if not just that--simply chosen to be a prince of them in fact. Close relations with the Pixies in particular, they bequeathed him with an affinity of their magicks and enchantments, and even to the perceptive of eyes one can see his ears are rather pointy (holding no Elezen relation), and can effortlessly speak and understand the language of the Fae. With the help of his friends after he invited them, whisked away to the faerie land of Il Mheg itself to take in its enchanting vistas, the coronation took place after a trial to face a simulacrum of the late King Titania to prove his worth of a princely crown. Successful, he can now don a pair of fae wings, truly becoming one of the Fae and a prince more than mere title. |
| Frostfall | Concluded | Fiddles finds out a series of upsetting if not threatening letters has made its way to him, enchanted with a sort of aetheric frost... revelations come to light that his own stepfather who was supposedly missing during the Calamity had sent him those letters to discredit and try to ruin Fiddles as the heir to House Aelix despite having initially inherited the title and estate from the rather altered and cold forebearer. A final confrontation was had, though to his surprise of Fiddles's estranged mother's intervention at the last moment to reveal secrets dark and truths appalling. |

Their actions have led to seduce and enthrall Fiddles to become the host of the fae primal of eld by the name of Oberon. His friends ultimately confronted the primal-possessed Fiddles to prevent a summoning altogether that would spell trouble for all in an era of blissful, reckless abandon. For now, he still yet holds the lingering and weakened essence of the primal who yet tempts Fiddles to submit to its will for the better. Currently, Oberon's attempt to fully possess Fiddles was thwarted... but when will such a primal return to perpetuate this farce...? |
